Psychedelics are a hallucinogenic class of psychoactive drug whose motive is to trigger fictional states of consciousness via serotonin 2A receptor agonism. This causes specific psychological, visual and auditory changes, and often a substantially altered state of consciousness.
In other words, for the uninitiated, these drugs make your brain see stuff that aren’t real. You enter a dreamy world where science and logic don’t exist. Many of these exist and can find its way to you with ease, while some of the most common are, Acid or LSD; DMT; Ololiuqui or Morning Glory Seeds; Ecstasy or even called MDMA; Peyote; Magic Mushrooms or Shrooms.
All of these range from the colourful pills, the smiley stickers to even mushrooms. Fun fact: the psilocybin mushrooms or shrooms have the drug effect to fend off against animals that may try to eat them, but all humans could take from it was “magic mushroom make me go vroom vroom”
While some get the best trip of their life, some aren’t that lucky. Have a look,
“I thought I became a demigod. Every trip I convince myself I’m either Budda, Jesus, or Percy Jackson. I’m pretty sure I healed a blind man once”
“I’ll never forget riding home with friend 1’s girlfriend and her dad all while having a prison sentence worth of contraband in a backpack in my lap”
“It starts with this falling sensation and tunnel vision. Despite the fact I was sitting in a chair and laughing my ass off, on the inside it felt like falling into the mouth of hell. Everything started to strip away, I can’t really explain it other than that. I could see my friend’s faces just staring at me, I tried calling for help.”
“Oh, also one time my roommate and I both took 3 hits of acid and I had to talk him out of killing himself. Had the shotgun in his mouth and everything, it was pretty fucked up.
“So I picked up a knife and tried to stab myself. Repeatedly. Someone ended up holding me down for three hours while I screamed about wanting to cut it out of me.
